Darsify Exam · version 1.0.2

The secure app for proctored exams.

Your academy uses Darsify Exam for timed, camera-proctored papers. It locks the exam to one full-screen window, checks your camera and screens before you begin, and records anything your tutor needs to review. Install it once, and every exam you start from your Darsify portal opens in it.

Install it in a minute

    Open the download

    Open the .dmg file and drag Darsify Exam into your Applications folder.

    Allow the first launch

    The first time only, macOS stops the app because it isn't from the App Store. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway. On macOS 14 or older, right-click the app, choose Open, then Open again.

  3. 3

    Start your exam

    Press Start exam in your Darsify portal. The app opens, checks your computer and takes you into the paper.

What's new in 1.0.2

  • A new dark design for every screen, with clearer system check results and exact steps to fix anything that fails.
  • The app checks for updates when it opens, every few hours, and again before an exam starts.
  • On Windows and Linux (AppImage), updates download by themselves and install when you restart the app.
  • On Mac and Linux (.deb), the app tells you when a new version is out and links to the right download for your computer.
  • The app now always shows its version and whether it is up to date.
  • Darsify Exam is now available for Linux, as an AppImage and a .deb package.
